Hey, Today I went to a 1,000 Ft. drag strip and saw this older model Tiburon (looked like a 99 or so..) It was green, had no hood, and it looked nice and was pullin' some great Numbers. My greatest run was 14.4 @ 73 MPH in my Automatic Tiburon. I believe the other guy was pullin in the 13's. Had alot more done than I did, and had that heavy hood taken off and it was a standard. So, if you have an older model Tiburon and went to Centerville, Arkansas, I just wanted to know if he was on here.

It doesn't really make sense that you ran a 14.4 at 73MPH...

Nice going. 14.4 @ 73MPH? You must've screwed up somewhere. Your trap speed is too slow.

1 mile = 5280 feet so no, quarter mile is 1320 feet, eighth would be 660 feet.

If this helps any, When I launched, my RPM stayed at around 2,000 RPM for about 1.5 seconds and then it finally kicked on. Is that normal?

The tourque converter locks at 2000 or 2500 or so, so when you hold the brake it shouldnt go over that, or you need better brakes for your hp lmao.gif
