actually, I thought the show was great, there are always polotics involved with a show like that, but all in all it was a great weekend, and I think that XTRAWLD would agree.

In the end, you win some, you loose some. We will get them next time.

Darknights 2004 Tiburon Class:
1st - 03 Tib, white, has a couple of sponsors
2nd - NrG 01 Tib, has all the mods available for our cars
3rd - Me, canadianshark74, a few mods but no body kit.

 

Personally.....yeah, I'm miffed, but whatcha gonna do?...it came down to who had the bigger mod list - yeah mine was nice, others were rice. The judging on my car really sucked and they should change their way of going about it. The good thing though - the cars that I lost to were almost maxxed out with their mods, while I still have a fair way to go. We'll see if I decide to sink more money into it and go there for another round next year - depending on how the cops will be stationed around there as well. Canadianshark and myself managed to get away unscathed this year.

I've been a spectator of that show for the past 5 years, and in the 6th I was able to finally compete in it - and I'm proud to say I was there at Darknights in 2004 just to have said I attended. I also felt that this year was better than I've seen in a while.

I know NRG is pissed - I wasn't mad, just upset, that's all. It's hard to watch all your time and money spent into the car mean absolutely nothing when crunch time comes.

 

It was nice to meet Canadianshark74, and NrG. It was really cool seeing their tibs up close and personal.
Talked with Canadianshark74 a bit, he and I checked out his ride (got to sit in it smile.gif - very nice guy.

but man, I got BURNT to a crisp on saturday! My girlfriend and I had V.I.P parking and weekend passes,
but I could'nt face the sun again on Sunday. I would have turned lobster red! Redder than Redz! tongue.gif

We had a great time though, I was a little upset with myself for not having my car show ready.
Canadianshark74 said there was room for my car, and I did have the sticker, and Info board - DOh!!

Next year my ride WILL be there.

I'm sorry you did'nt win first NrG, still you should be very proud of your car as it does kick ass.
My friend (president) of "TOPROTEGE.COM" did'nt win but the club won for biggest club?? I think or something like that.
Also one of the members protege 5's won and the dude had like mostly stock parts ?!
If im not mistaken stock parts get you ZERO points, but he won for some reason, ... the other members were pissed!!! LOL

I got a shirt, and a crazy red sun tan, still I had a great time none the less.

Glad you had a good time Chris, it was good to meet you, sorry to hear about the sunburn. Yes it was very hot on saturday. We left around 8:45pm and were back to the show at 7:40am on sunday. It was a long weekend. I had a blast, I can't wait for the next show.
