When you were in high school
9th was by bus.
10th was by friends.
11th was 1/2 me and 1/2 my friends cause I went through 2 cars that year.
12th was 1/2 friends till I bought my 91 6cyl Camaro that could do 1 legger burnouts for days. Oh yeah and can't forget about senior burnout day on our last day of school.
Those were fun times.

9th --> Biked in summer, bus in winter
10th --> Same
11th --> Same
12th --> Bought the Tiburon and drove to school every day.
I lived about 15km (about 9 miles) from my school, so biking in the summer was nice since it only took me less than 30 minutes (faster than the school bus, which had to do all these crappy country back roads). I biked rain or shine. Winter... well, kinda difficult to bike in freezing weather with 6 inches of snow everywhere, so bus it was.

My parents got divorced while I was in high school and one ended up moving just outside the radius from the high school I went to that the buses operated in. So half of the school week I'd be walking 3.5 miles to school and 3.5 back, sucky part was the route was a pipeline, not a sidewalk or street so I couldn't even skate there!
After about a month of this I said f*ck THIS. I had a job and a little money. Went on craigslist, found a car for sale ($300) in Tacoma, about an hour south of me. Had a friend drive me to the ghetto part of Tacoma where you find $300 cars (probably stolen) and bought it. My first car, lol. Paid for, in cash, on my own at the ripe age of 14. A Ford Taurus Wagon, with a few problems here and there. The rear pass door wouldn't really stay closed so when making a hard left the door would swing open, and whoever was sitting there would probably fall out since there was no seatbelt. I used the middle bench seatbelt to wrap around the door handle to keep it sort of closed. Found out later on the hood also didn't like to stay shut and that flung up on me a couple times while driving like 35mph..
It was great, my parents never knew about it (still don't), never got pulled over, and I was able to take me and my friends wherever we wanted to go. Best part is I didn't have to walk that ridiculous 45mins every morning and afternoon to school anymore!
