Its different everywhere and I was wondering what the penalty is where you live if a cop pulls you over for texting or talking on your cell?

Here, its a primary offense (they dont need to pull you over for something else), a $100 fine, and 3 points on your license.

NV - Primary offense, $50 fine first time, $100 fine second time, $250 fine third time, and then I heard you lose license for 6 months, but can't find anything on that part.

In Alberta, Canada, it is $175 for every offence and its no demerit points or suspension ever.

never understood why you'd want to text/talk while driving. i always figured paying attention to the road was more important.

No idea. I just try to hide that I'm talking/texting/Facebooking/etc. while driving when I see a cop.

I don't have enough brain cells to spare to do both at the same time.

If I don't, Perth drivers in general DEFINITELY DO NOT.
