I want to do like we always did when I was a kid. Drive to Mt Rushmore in South Dakota, then over to Devils Tower in Wyoming. I would extend it though and go through the Badlands off to Yellowstone. I will probably rent an RV and take the kids when I retire from the Air Force.

My favorite road trip is to drive and see all of the sports hall of fames (Football, Baseball,Basketball & Hockey)
Each of them is within a days drive of the next & it is a nice way to spend a week! (My dad took me when I was younger & now I loaded him into the car & took him) Then we hit New York for a Yankees game and Chicago for a Cub's game on the way home

That sounds awesome! I've never thought about that before. I might definitely have to try that sometime.

My dream trip would be to go to Chicago, and drive Route 66 as far as possible. See the midwest and southwest the way people used to.

been to key west all the way down south. it's worth it and it's basically a road on ocean, but once you get down there it's really nothing special mostly motorcycle gangs and trailer parks. most likely due to hurricanes. you'd expect there to be somekind of prize in the end for going that far down south into the ocean, nah it's pretty much a dead end. but you can claim you've been to the very end which is neat. there's a lot of critters and habitat there. i still loved our trip down there when i was young, one of the things i'll have great memories of.

my dream road trip?? most of you will recognize this:

speaking of which, that IS a Hyundai HCD II.
