What would it take for you to switch jobs?
Job you're at pays average (45K). It's not good but it's tolerable. The people are great but that's the only reason you're staying. You have been offered another job that pays 55K. More of the same. You would leave either of these jobs in a heartbeat if any number of better jobs popped up, and with the local economy, that is very possible within 6 months or so.
The caveat is that you've been at your current job for only 4 months. The extra money would help but is not essential. Lets say using these guys as a job reference won't matter. Benefits are similar.
Current company really f*cked you in the past and you have bad feelings towards it but you feel like you are leaving your coworkers in a big lurch if you move. You probably won't talk to most of them after you leave but they are great people.
What I'm asking is what is the line you draw between looking after #1 and others? Would 10K entice you to move?
