What is the most expensive item you've ever purchased that is NOT a house or vehicle?
I was looking around the house last night and realized I am a boring and simple person. I don't have a $20,000 home theater or an expensive piano, pool table or home bar. I think the most I've ever spent on something was ~3k for a tv when plasmas were still crazy expensive. I know people who spend 5k on a weekend in Vegas, so I guess I am just a boring old man lol. I have some terrible buyer's remorse, so that stops me from making big purchases most of the time.

I search and search and search for the best prices on everything, so I end up not buying a lot of things because I don't feel I'm getting the best deal. My Matco toolbox is probably the most expensive thing.

I bought a house for $91K in '97. Other than that, my '06 350Z was $33K. I have over $50K in my toolboxes and all of the tools.

individual expenses... honeymoon (~$2,500) and TV (~$2,000). I also look for the best deal possible when buying things. My honeymoon only cost $2,500 because I used airline miles to save $1,300 and Marriott points for a free night.

House was $216k
Most I've spent on a vehicle was $16k
Next most expensive single item was my couch at like $1800 I think.

Assembled an Hd HTPC with Blu-Ray burner about 4 years ago, like $3500 total
Mods to the Porsche well over 8k, and stuff still sitting uninstalled.
Retro gaming collection.... well it's ensured for 35k but I spent nowhere near that. Really can't put a price on that because its taken 15 years to assemble to this point.
