What Does Everyone Do For A Livin?
I'm a full-time engineering student at Arizona State (last year woot!). In addition to getting paid to go to school, I worked for a great engineering company over the summer, and have some promising opportunities for some co-op work while I'm going to school that I'm working on. I also help one of my professors with some research. Oh and most importantly, on the weekend I party full time lmao.gif
Currently finishing up my last year at WPI as an ECE major. 'course...that's my backup plan, in case I fail at everything else. As for actual work, I occassionally do work for random people as a digital artist and graphics work (mostly advertising). Eh...not the greatest, but it pays. Worked at Best Buy a while ago...glad I'm not working for a bunch of morons.
I'm also picking up some side work (in the talks at the moment) by teaching weekend classes on algebra to advanced level middle school students.

I have my own business AND I am a stage Electrician at most of the Casinos here in Atlantic City.
Business Part. "Posterity Video Productions" It is basically a big party entertainment business... I get to go to all the big Bar and bat mitzvas, weddings, and other social engagements up in NY, NYC, LI, and Conn and film people making complete asses of themselves singing Karoke, mock commericals, and doing play by play.. great fun, not a lot of work, and excellant pay.
In the Casinos, if you see a show, I probably had a hand in all the lighting. Usually I wind up working "dimmer beach" which is where all the main power and the controls for bringing the lights up and down is located. Serious Three Phase power back there.

Nothing earth shattering.

I'm an installer her at Circuit City, I'm the one that fixes all the ghetto shit that people try to do themselves, I really gotta start my own shop though, I'll never make serious green here. I have almost 3 years of Mechanical Engineering Technology under my belt at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) though.

I would have never guessed that. I figured you were a mechanic. hail.gif
No matter what forum i'm on online a usually assume most people on there have jobs affiliated with computers or want too. I'd say it's about 75% on most forums, I'm guessing it's because normal people don't have this much time to spend on the computer! nana.gif
Anyways I have my own computer service/repair company here in eastern KY. I do everything from fix granny's printing problem to setup wans that cross cities and states. My next project will be setting up a vpn for a local company that has traveling counsellors that need access to the main office's server to get data. fing02.gif I'm also starting up a bit of web hosting here soon... stupid server problems. I build machines/servers custom, done a couple media center pc's custom but i really want to get into doing some custom carputers. I think that would be pretty fun.
