Mostly. Even my preferred rightwinghate AM statickytalk radio stations, about half of them play CBS news breaks between the racism/sexism/bigotry/homophobia programming.

No, the real question is, "To what extent is the general public influenced by the old-school press/TV media?" and the answer is "not very much, nobody reads/watches any more." Your idiot friends tweeting and facebooking is where they get their information these days, plus the odd tidbit from the beevis & butthead 'music with people talking between songs' radio show. Unfortunately.

 

I would not say nobody reads or watches the old school stuff. The internet has become the defacto news source. But it also allows easy access to extreme views. It's when these news sources get sited as proof or as actual news that leads to the mind control.



IMHO most of Facebook and Twitter is gossip and garbage, definitely not a reliable source of info. Great for breaking news though.
