Brand loyalty will screw you every time. Competition is what makes these companies and their products strong.
Even Hyundai hasn't earned my loyalty. Aside from the GC, all of the recent products seem like piss poor attempts at market saturation.

^ not really
Because I know I always compare items I want from different company and manufacturers but there are certain ones that I go with after weighing pros and cons. For example Taurus firearms: I like the function and features of their firearms, good pricing for quality products, lifetime warranty, and a free year nra membership with the purchase of a new firearm. You don't get half of that from cheaper manufacturers and sometimes not even from the top dollar gun makers. Then you have companies that make products that no other can compare to like general mills, there is nothing like reeses puff cereal i mean nothing lol

Because it takes care of sh*t.

Aleve for headaches. I'm not loyal to the brand, but it's the medicine that works for the rare headaches I do get. Pop 1 or 2 pills and it's gone within minutes.
I'm loyal to people rather than brands. I'm a very analytic person, I won't buy sh*t just because.
I'm loyal to American Airlines, not because they're the best, but because utilizing a single airline for the purpose of frequent flyer mileage redemption helps to maximize your opportunities and makes it easier to attain elite status.
I'm loyal to Bank of America because their online banking is quite possibly the best out there. I've heard USAA is superior, but that's not an option for me. If a competitor provides a superior product, I would utilize that. My loyalty is not with the brand.
