Video Driver Question
#1
So I dug out some of my old PC games, and tried playing them again. The install, and will start up. Problem is the require a SVGA video driver with VESA support so they look all messed up (thousands of tiny images think double vision but way worse) and are impossible to play. Is there any way to emulate an SVGA video driver to play these games or am I SOL?

with vesa you need to have vesa card. I ran into this problem with playing old games years ago. There are also sometimes work arounds. I think the program I used to play "day of the tentacle" was called slime...
try googling for the game you want to get working + windows xp and see what you get. Also post up what games your trying to play.

Thank you I found this nifty thing called dosbox which is able to emulate the enviroment for older dos games. Works great, I was trying to get steel panthers 3, and conquest of the new world running, Both older turned based strategy games.
