Actually, this is not the first food based automotive product. I saw on Discovery News last year about a motor oil based on combinations of olive, corn, and other cooking oils that is biodegradable, leaves less carbon buildup in the engine, and last as long as conventional motor oil. Drove two ford rangers cross country, one with the new oil and one with conventional. Both went through Death Valley on their way to Washington DC with no change in performance. rolleyes.gif
I work for an engeering firm <fuel cell/electric car/mining vechicals> and the owner has a generator running off veggie oil. One day I was in my office and I thought we were having a bar-b-q...nope just running the generator out back.
