There are a lot of advantages to the 5.7x28 or a round like it. I would like a FN Five-Seven. I also want to get an AR15 upper chambered in the same. It has a 50rd mag that's top mounted and ejects brass down through the mag well.

10mm. And require that anyone who can't fire it properly can't carry it.

You'll have half the military without a sidearm in that case. I think the 10mm is great, but most entities have abandoned it due to the average person not being able to perform well with it.

Si, si. We'd be better off with an army that could handle the 10mm, you're right! it's hot stuff man, that's why we have the feds using .40 S&W instead! </sarc> Still, it would be nice to have a fat supply of surplus 10mm brass wouldn't it?

Anyway, as Col. Cooper said, recoil is mostly* mental. I once went shooting with a big fat guy who had no problem with full-power .357 out of a revolver but chickened out when it came time to fire off 12 ga. slugs. That's a training issue right there.

*mostly. .44 mag and 10mm are up there with those calibers you can't be surprised a small-handed person just can't deal with.
