Hi everyone, long time no post...

Just a quick note to let you folks know that Xorro is shutting down the United Kingdom Hyundai Coupe Site - effective from 2-10-2010.

Forums are currently read-only due to a rogue moderator going on a deleting spree.

This currently leaves the UKHCC as the only UK site, so RDTiburon.com may be getting a few new British members soon.

Sorry I've not been about much, fact is that the spoilerless RD1 I had was broken for parts March/April '09. So that was the end of my Hyundai ownership for the time being.

Anyways, just thought you folks ought to know what's going on over the pond.

All the best

I haven't seen Xorro around in a loooong time. We welcome any and all members, regardless of location. It'd be great if they could add their locations to the Member Map.

I've already started the discussion via email with Xorro with getting the database and incoporating everything from the uKHC site into Hyundai Aftermarket.org so that none of the members will lose their threads, posts and everything else. We've also already seen a HUGE increase of the members from there coming to HA so it wont be very difficult to merge the databases together so everyone will still have the same log in and everything.

Xorro used to be a HUGE contributing member on HA back in the day and a good forum relationship is still there. So hopefully within the next few days, ukHC will be apart of Hyundai Aftermarket completely. Any questions, please let me know.

Thats a bit of good news there, mate...

I've been on there (UKHCS) since 2007 and have put much information (as have many others) regarding breathing mods etc. To see that all vanish into the ether would be somewhat galling.

I wasn't aware of the existance of HyundaiAftermarket.org - so thanks for that. As I said in my first post, I'm not an owner at the moment but should I get another then I'm sure it'll be well worth a look...

Cheers fella smile.gif

Yeah....she started up the site a little after Hyundai Aftermarket. She had her site up for about 9 years, and HA will be 10 years old in May this year. I remember her car from the very beginning and all her posts on HA about her build up. Its definitely come a long way, as has uKHC. I hope the merger goes through and I can combine the databases successfully. Shes using phpBB for forum software, so I'll have to convert everything so that it works properly for Invision. It'll be a HUGE task, but I'm confident it can be done within a couple of days so all you guys over there dont lose all the great threads and posts you've made over the years. smile.gif

Just waiting on her, so if you chat with her today or tomorrow...let her know I'm waiting to hear back with everything.

Yeah, I would, dude - but the whole site is in lockdown over here, strictly read only. Unfortunately I don't have personal contact details for Zoe, but I'm sure she'll be in touch in due course.

Thanks again for all the hard work, mate - and when you speak to her next, tell her 'Rik says Cheers'...

Nice one

She put it on Read Only, already? I thought it was going to be a few days before it happened? Hmmm....gonna have to shoot her another email and talk with her. Hoping she doesnt delete the entire site and everything else before the end of the week.

I'll definitely let her know you said hi.

Hello just to clear things up on this thread , my name is Macker the Admin and good friend of Xorro .
She decided to close the UKHCS after ten years of running them , she just didn't have the time anymore to look
after the UKHCS and many more forums she had going , i ran the forums as a Admin for a period of time before the
closure, when they closed as a read only... Xorro put a direct link there to the new UK forums that myself and a
Moderator called Faz started , she sent a mass email to all the members of her site explaining were to find us .
On doing this we had a influx of the members from the UKHCS flooding to join up with us .
I wont put a link to our new forums on here because that would just be plain rude without asking ,So if one of the chief's is reading this could he/she send me a PM please .
Many thanks Macker .
