Doesn't NM allow open carry of handguns? I know you can't carry in a bank though so it wouldn't have helped. It seems like I have been hearing alot of crime reports going on in NM. Last week someone shot a man and six year old girl in Wal-Mart down there. Sounds like you had quite the experience though...
