I am pondering purchasing a 2005 Tucson. I have yet to drive one though. There is one on the lot, but they lost the keys and had to order new ones from Japan. <-- Yeah, I laughed at that too. Anyways, the thing looks great! I would possibly be trading in my Tib though. It is hard having only one vehicle with room for all of us. Let me know what you think.

Cottonmouth brought a Tucson to our group meet last sunday, it is pretty cool. It is based on an elantra platform, lots of torque. Nicely equipped inside. I liked it. It is quite a bit shorter than the santa fe.

I have had my Santa Fe for just over a month now. The SF is based on a Sonata platform. It is awesome, I am very impressed. The only down side, is the gas mileage. But then agian its AWD, so I was expecting it to be thirsty at the pump.

I bought the SF just before the Tucson came out. But if I had to decide now, it would be a very tough choice. It guess it depends on how much cargo space you need.

I think the tuscon are a little more stylish than the SF's, but i like them both.

I would love to, but financially I wouldn't be able to afford three car payments.

Well I'd be shopping at another dealership for sure.

Anyway, I have driven it,... I'd buy it smile.gif

Get the 2.7 THough. Trust me wink.gif
Only pet peeves I have with it now are that it's kinda loud, with road noise and wind noise. Which is kinda surprising in that it's got car tires, not truck tires like the Santa Fe
It's well thought out though. Good features, and you can have like a HUGE flat area for cargo, once you get the rear seats down.

But give it a test drive. I like it.
Oh yeah, another pet peeve is the oil filter is behind the splash / rock gaurd. It's a pain in the ass to get to it, without taking the huge ass plate off.
Also filling the oil, good luck free handing it. It's so close to the rad cradle, I suggest you use a funnel
