He might not want it since he has his own big ass private plane but what about future Presidents? Isnt this just screwing them since the current AF1 is outdated and can only be flown for so long.

 

No he isn't. More empty talk and posturing. No wall, no abolishing Obamacare, no 11M illegals being deported, no term limits in Congress... He can ask Congress do do these things, but he can't do any of them.

Trump isn't even the President yet. He's setting up for negotiations when he has *some* authority. For him (as president) to intervene in an established contract would be highly irregular and possibly illegal.



His plane isn't as big as Air Force 1, and it is NOT a suitable replacement. The stuff that is legally required to be around the POTUS all the time, he doesn't have on his plane. His plane is a non-sequitur to this kerfuffle over Air Force 1.



also I find it amusing that the two mentioned news outlets, Yahoo! and Forbes, are on a very short list of places I refuse to even click. Yahoo! because their journalism tends to suck pretty bad and they never have a picture you would expect to see with the article, and Forbes for their hostile website design.

LOL I have uMatrix on most of my broswers and I can't even see their landing pages!

 

I believe uMatrix is the old version. I have uBlock Origin. I got it when FB went after AdBlocker Plus. Forbes used to pop up a page saying "You have an ad blocker, please disable it". I don't get that any more with uBlock Origin.
