I was looking into buying a Treo or Blackberry, or other portable computer/phone. I was wondering if anyone had one and could give me feedback or if they knew what is best. I am currently with SPRINT, so i think TREO is the way to go. Im looking for one that has everything, MP3, camera, video, email, phone, internet. Also does anyone know the prices of the service? I looked on EBAY and see phones that say "unlocked" what does that mean?

 

I've had a Color Sidekick and a Sidekick 2. If it played MP3's, it'd be the best phone ever. The rumor is the sidekick 3 will play MP3's.

I'm looking into a new phone and I want a full keyboard, and this is what I've found.

Wait until mid next year, as prices will be very cheap, and the MP3 option will be on almost every phone, along with a MP camera and full keyboard. Don't get a Blackberry or Treo if you plan on using it for a phone, as the quality sucks.

 

I had a 650 for a while. GREAT phone. A lil too buggy for me, but I'm a computer guy.

I have an audiovox SMT 5600 now. Didn't think it would compare. IT DOES! Definately a great smartphone.

 

so the phone reception sucks on the blackberry and TREO? What wass buggy about the 650? what service is the audiovox SMT 5600 compatable with? What is the service price for all the features? What does unlock mean?

 

Not the reception my man, but actually the PHONE.

Think of it as a PDA that someone decided to add a phone to in the last minute. Not high quality for calls. Lots of dropped calls and connection issues.

My Sidekick 2 kicks ass.

 

gotcha, ill take a look at some sidekicks on ebay. I looked at the audiovox SMT 5600 and there was no keyboard, but besides that it looked cool.
