So sad... 02.gif Even if they do make it....they will never be the same, since having burns all over their bodies.

so much for those tattoos!

sucks. that's a huge drawback of privately owned jets, the maintenance aspect probably isn't professional enough. wonder what the first interview will be like.

This is sad. Travis Barker is probably my favorite person in music of all time. I loved Blink-182 and have followed him ever since. Hope he makes it out alright and hopefully he can still play.

while i feel bad for those that died and i feel bad for his/their family/families it has ALWAYS ticked me off the way celebrities get all this attention yet what happens when a regular plane crash happens? not much, and people forget about it a couple days later... like i said, i feel bad for them but i have no more sympathy for them just because he was a celebrity drillsergeant.gif

I had a friend/co-worker die in a plane crash upon landing at Little Rock. The plane hit so hard that the fuselage separated at the point where he was sitting and his row of seats were thrown from the plane. I heard about it all the way in Germany on AFN. He was an Air Force member, that's probably the only reason I heard it on the radio. Here's a link to the transcript of the flight. http://aviation-safety.net/database/...?id=19990601-0

This is the reason I cannot stand to fly. I do not like letting myself be at the mercy of flight crews that can be fatigued, inexperienced, etc. At least when I fly on our C-130's I know the crews and I know the maintainers. We all know what our jobs entail and we will not allow an aircraft to fly if we know something is wrong with it. We do inspections on a daily basis. Some of the commercial aircraft go weeks without any downtime. They land, get a general lookover, get refueled and then they are in the air again.

it doesnt suprise me. travis hasnt done jackshit for years now. his wife may have been a rip to be with, but like all celebrities it seems they all just pawn them off on nannies and go about partying like they are still kids. maybe he shouldve been in the recording studio actually making music that would keep him in the headlines instead of partying and cheating on his wife.

sorry visionz, Travis Barker to me is has always been a childish terd that couldve been shined to a high luster, but pissed it off playing kiddy games.

I was watching the news last night. They said that they are both expected to make a full recovery. Its kind of weird that the 'stars' live and their entourage and pilots die.....

By reading the article it sounded like these two were laying in the road and the others were burning up on the plane. Maybe they were sitting by the exit door and bailed out while it was still moving.
