This is the third time we've had tornados come within a few miles of my house within the last 3 weeks!! This is rediculous!! Two times it's destroyed homes within 5 minutes of my house. We lost power around 12:30 and got it back around 8 p.m..

At 70º outside, it started hailing heavily

Minor damage to the school half a mile away:

Major damage to the subdivision that backs up to mine:

Now it's comming towards me.

Currently it's nice out, but look at this hour by hour forecast. It's going to be nice up to 2300, then at 2400, Severe weather.

Expecting hail... I'ma leave my car out away from trees so I can claim door dings as part of the hail damage laugh.gif

man, you are missing all the fun. go buy a beater SUV, epoxy some chicken wire on the glass so the windows dont cave in, and go tornado chasing. that is how we roll here in Kansas, lol.

on a more serious note, dodging them in yer house is no fun. that is why when i find a house, it will be built into a side of a hill, dugout style. hope everything turns out ok Majik, good luck.

Stay safe brother... I was thinking about you guys when I saw this on the news today.

You should buy a scanner and tune into the amateur radio repeaters. You will be able to hear the storm spotters in action and will know whats happening quicker than watching the news. We had a meeting with my local radio club two weeks ago, we are gearing up for storm season down here.

Damn Maj, I'm glad you guys are okay. I could never live anywhere with weather like that again, not ever.

There are tons of spaces left in my subdivision, move here.

I'll take an earthquake over a tornado ANYDAY!! I wanna move back to cali.... There are a few State Trooper helicopters and a Mobile command center down the road from me. It's amazing how many surrounding counties sent Sheriff's and State Troopers to our area to help. They've been working fast on cleanup, but there's just too much damage.
