#2 required the most skill. A fighter reacts instantly. That KC-135 takes a second.

Pretty cool. Anyone know more about the phenomenon seen on #1? Where it looked like the jet was picking up the disc of water around the rear of it?

Not breaking it. It's close though. That disc is water vapor being compressed. That close to the water, it's very humid. A thousand feet up, you wouldn't see that.
