I like a lot of those cars, but yeah the narrow tires on a wide wheel thing is just straight up retarded. If you have to do that or set 15 degrees of negative camber to clear your inner fender you really ought to try something else.
I do think having your wheel offset pushed out as close to the fender lip as possible does a lot to make the car look great though. We put 10mm spacers on the rear of the Tib. I'm going to move those to the front and try 25mm spacers in the rear next I think.
