Going to use a 60s/70s vehicle as the starting point
Thinking Ford Mustang or Chevy Camaro as the basis for it.
going to be supercharged and i'm aiming for 650-700hp
What would you all recommend? This project will be many years in the making, but I want something else to build up other than my Hyundai

Depends on what you want out of the project. If you're looking for a fast car a muscle car from the 60's or 70's is far from the cheapest way to do it. Honestly most aren't even that great of platforms to start with. I would only do it if I just overwhelmingly wanted a specific car. I have a list of muscle cars that I would really love to own, but if I was building a high hp car, I would probably choose something else. If for no other reason than I don't want to chop up one of the few decent muscle cars left.

I pulled the trigger and bought myself a muscle car this weekend. Got it for $1500. Interior needs some work and the engine is blown. But the transmission is new and the exterior is in good shape other than there being alot of orange peel and flaking paint. Its a 1967 Plymouth Barracuda Formula S Fastback. This will be my little side project other than my tib.
My pops had a barracuda when I was young... 440 4 bbl carb that was fun... If you want to drag it you'll need to purchase a hemi crate motor to get deep into the low teens... They run a pretty penny(17g's) so I'd start saving now... You won't be disappointed with that motor, not to
Mention some kind of race tranny... The body looks great from that angle though, I can tell it's been redone with bond because that's not a factory color..
