I'm assuming its a header wrap that your talking about... sounds like it to me. Yes, they work. However I don't like using them as the extra heat that it keeps in can wear down a manifold more than normal. Others say its just being misused... doubt it myself...

Most people wrap it around in a couple of layers... really don't know how much you would need. Maybe someone who has ordered some can give you a guesstimate number.

I've had friends who've had cracked manifolds after using header wrap. Whether it was directly because of the wrap I'm not sure.

Either way you can try it. It does do what it says its supposed to do. Whether the small gains warrant the inherent risk is up to you.

so.... it could crack the headers or manifuld... but how much time after install this thing.??....

Its not much a problem how much I want to spend... What I want is to keep the heat out of the engine.... but not if I will have a crack manifuld......

if it takes a year to crack the manifuld of headers... I dont care, i would like to install this... but if in a month makes the diference.. i wouldnt install it...

It supose to help to get a better flow of gases.........

Friend of mine's cracked after six months.. he had had the turbo manifold and DP for a year or two before however, and they were mild steel.

It really won't make too much of a difference, performance wise. On a light-mid boost setup (5-10PSI) you might see a slightly faster spool time, pretty much unnoticable, and maybe a few ponies.
