Read the fine print though. All the court really did was issue a guideline for the lower court. It still has to go back to that court for a ruling, then the city has to rewrite the law. Even then, the court stated that their ruling only applies to Oak Park, IL since there are currently no other cities in America with blanket bans on handguns. The ruling really isn't going to change anything, it's just sending a message to any other cities considering blanket bans that they are unconstitutional. I still want to see a day when anyone over 18 can buy any non-automatic weapon (but only after a compulsory gun safety class), regardless of where they live. This includes non-violent felons.
