How does everyone here measure success in their life? Is it the amount of money you have or the type of job you were promoted to? Maybe its getting married, buying a house, and having a family? Everyone has their own definition of what success is. What’s yours?

Wow, this is pretty deep for a car forum lol.
For me, it really depends on the meaning of life. I believe that God created man to have a relationship with Him and it was so at first. Man screwed this up with sin, seperating themselves from God, so man has an empty feeling inside, a void inside. I believe that man attempts to fill this void sometimes with alcohol, drugs, and money, sex, success, fame, but even seemingly 'good' things like family and friends. I don't think anything will be able to fill that void other than God, everything will always leave empty and wanting more, none of those things can permantly fulfill you. Thankfully God sent His one and only Son, Jesus, do die for all man's sin, so that we can now be with God once again, and we can have that initial fullfillment He intended us to have.
So for me the point of life is first to regain my relationship with God again, and then to live my life as best as I can to honor Him and show his love to all so that they might see God's love and light and truth through me and they will want seek God as well and be fullfilled too. Everything I do in life I believe is a part of God's plan, but no matter what situation or circumstances I find myself in, I do my best to relate to others and attempt to meet the needs of others showing God's love, and be thankful for what He has blessed me with. In hopes that they might see this amazing love of God through me and come to God and fill taht void giving them the ultimate joy and peace that I have. Whether I am on a car forum or in combat overseas or if I didn't have a house, I would be thankfull for the things that I do have and try to share God's love wiht others. Wherever I am is my mission field, as I am not living for man nor it's circumstances, but God. God's goodness isn't circumstantial, it doesn't depend on what we think or rationalize, we can comprehend His ways.
So I guess to answer the OP's quesiton, I measure success is anytime God is given the glory. Jesus, the King of all mankind, actualy left His throne in heaven (a perfect place) to become a human, and not only that, but to serve mankind, and not just that but to take on all sins for manknid and die for them. Leaving ultimate power to become lower than the lowest is kind of the opposite of what people would call successful in today's society. If it wasn't for me being re-born in the spirit, I probably wouldn't be able to understand it, as it is not really me understanding it, rather Jesus (who is inside me) making it known to me.
Though I don't like to force my views on anyone, and I don't mean to sound to talk down on those who do strive for money or fame or a happy family as I don't believe there is anything wrong with some of that. I just don't feel it will lead to true happyness and I'm always availible to answer anyones quesitons for those that do feel empty and are looking to fill that void for good and not just temporarily.

Success?
Seems like a simple question to answer. Happiness.
Asking what makes me happy will yield some of the typical answers, A harmonious well provided for family, happy loved ones, comfortable living circumstances, etc.
