this is getting moved to general performance.

the bov noise is caused by the pressure generated by a turbo. do some reading up on boosting.

haha damnit you could google that. lol... but we're trying to get as much information available to search as possible so here it goes:

read up on it that'll help. the most frequent question asked about BOV's is if you can use one without a turbo or supercharger LMAO!! lmao.gif (if you know a BOV works only with boost you'll laugh)

BOV is supposed to release the pressure that comes back up into the intake. If you don't have a BOV then I think you can mess up your engine i don't know exactly how because i need to do some reading myself.

the higher the PSI the louder the BOV will be. you can even use one with a supercharger, infact you could even drill a hole into the intake piping and attatch it and it would still work that way. there has to be pressure involved. no pressure, no fuctioning BOV.

welcome back.

BOV also protects the turbo from from building up too much pressure in between shifts when the throttle's closed which could cause lag or could even destroy the turbo.

Er yes your car needs to be turboed (for real) in order to have a blow off valve.

I would never get those fake sounding bov..if someone realized that was fake theyd be on the floor laughing.
