I'm just not into new games these days. And I'm definately not gonna spend $600 on a stupid gaming system. I just love playing the old games that bring back good memories. My GF also wanted this cause she really loves Mario Bros.
I'll eventually get the other classics like Zelda, Ghosts and Goblins, Punch Out, Final Fantasy. But I've spent too much already. Some are getting too rare to even find on Ebay.

Nice, I have like fifty SNES games.
Its amazing how fun those old games are, my friends and I ripped out Super Mario Kart the other day and played for hours.

That's what I'm talking about. Even with the inferior graphics, they just seemed more fun to play.
I'm gonna start on the SNES afterwards. But those are still easy and cheap to get, so I'm not in a rush.

Dude, you should have just bought the Wii. You can download all the old games on it for cheap.
I can't believe you bought a Powerglove, especially for that much. That's the shittiest controller ever made. Did you watch the video I posted a week or so ago about it?!?!?
And Mario 2? That's the worst Mario game ever!
Contra is cool, but it's only like 4 bucks on Xbox Live Arcade, and the Konami Code works on it too.

Redz, you obviously have no clue what a "collector" is.
The De Lorean, old Jaguars, and the 80's Camaro's/Vette's were known as POS's that always broke down. But I would jump at the chance to own one in mint condition.
And if you noticed, the glove is in mint condition with a rare case which doesn't pop up on ebay much. I know how much more I paid for it, and it doesn't bother me.
In the end, I've still paid less than a Wii, and I'm happier.
rd1tib, they have 72 pin connectors that you swap in to make it run every time. $5 upgrade. There are also newer systems that play the old games. I'm tempted to buy one so I can just store away the original system.

Thanks for the offer, but as you can tell from the links, I'm buying everything in their original boxes. That's why I've been paying more. Typically a game goes for like $3 in working condition, but I don't mind paying $20 as long as it comes with box, instructions, or whatever else.
I definately want to get Metroid though. It was my favorite game as a kid. Took me forever to beat it.
