I am looking for a free spyware removal tool. I was wondering what you guys thought was the best and where I could find it for free.

Ad-aware, SpywareBlaster, Spybot-Search & Destroy, SpywareGuard, StartPageGuard, Hijack This... I've found all of these to be fairly useful at one stage or another. Although I've not had any probs for a long time, so these could be obsolete now.

spybot and adaware is the stuff. spyware blaster is good for block once you get it cleaned off. there's a program called x-cleaner that i use on occasion if the machine is so bad i can't get spybot installed. get back to me if those don't work and i've got a few more extereme measures solutions up my sleeve fing02.gif

edit: oh btw, get those programs installed, update them, then run them in safe mod for the best results. (press f8 while booting and choose safe mode)

I use MS Anti-Spyware and Spybot. In conjunction they pick up what the other one misses. Both free! and the MS one runs without user intervention. So i dont have to remember to run it or schedule it to run!
