Several states are beginning to talk IN THEIR LEGISLATIVE BODIES about nullifying the federal government. wtf.gif
New Hamshire
Washington
Last year, Montanas Seretary of State sent a letter to the press, suggesting that Montana might do the same, depending on the results of a US Supreme Court case..
If these states are able to use the courts against the law makers at the federal level, a whole lotta federal laws will go away. That would include almost every gun law, most drug laws, federal speed limits, and (I think) all hate crime laws.
Pretty eye opening stuff.

DO WANT!
Seriously, this is the best sign that things might still have a chance to get better that I have seen in my lifetime. This is necessary, right, just, correct, and legal.

Frankly, I never would have thought something like this could come out of Washington state, but it's encouraging.
However, it's not exactly a warning to the federal government to not do certain things, although it's worded that way. Unfortunately, the federal government has passed numerous laws/policies that are already in violation of it's role, as defined by the Constituion.

I'm really thinking that no state will actually finalize this and sent it to the feds.
It's kinda looking like some of them aren't getting any attention after the first reading. So that means no votes by the Congress critters, and they won't get passed, and they won't get forwarded to the Feds. It could be the equivalent to when Tim Eyman introduces a bill around this area: alotta people roll their eyes and decide not to talk about it, and hope it dies out.
And I'm also a little bit surprised which states are considering this. Not all of them are the ones I'd guess would have the "Up Yours" attitude. For example, I'd expect California or Alaska to be doing this, not Michigan.
But it these do start to pass, I'm sure it won't stop at one state. States are too much like sheep, they'll go in a herd. I don't think I bunch would stand up at the same time, but like dominoes, some states would lean on other states, and get similar reactions.
