Ok, I've got wayyyyyy too much stuff on my Hard Drives.
I need to do some cleaning.
I need some advise though.
1. What software would you recommend to convert AVI, MOV, QT, whatever, to MPG?
2. What is the best burning proggie out there these days? (I've not burned anything for over a year)
3. What would be the best all in one proggie for doing this?
What I wanna do is put all the videos (Porn and otherwise) onto VCD's so I can view them on the DVD player and free up all that space on my HD.

i've been trying to convert .qt and .mov to vcd compatable files for months now. my friend's digicam takes movies in .mov... i've had absolutely no luck with about 10 freeware or shareware programs that i've tried... what_the
good luck redz.

Red,
VCD quality is a little poopy, so I would also burn a high res, MPEG copy so you always have that if you need it. MGI's, Now Roxio's Video wave is good for converting AVI to MPEG, but MOV and QT I have noooooooooooooooo idea on how you would do that.
As far as burning them, again, I think Roxio is one of the best, along with Nero, but Winblows XP will also do it with no additional software needed.
Unless your HD is getting full, just leave it there. I bought a 120 gig hard drive just for crap like that!!

He heh...
I've got a 60 and 2 30 Gig HD's.
They are all almost completely full.
XP comes with a burning proggie?
I'm not worried that much about QT or MOV files, I don't have many of them, but the others...

Yeah, just pop a blank CD-R or RW in to an XP machine with a burner and it will walk you through the rest. XP also has Movie Maker, which will also convert your AVI's in to medium res MPEG or WMV......not too bad, especially since it's built right in.
I've got a poopload of video editing software and I think that either MGI or Windows Movie Maker are the easiest to do a simple AVI to MPEG conversion with. When it comes to adding effects I use Vegas Video or Adobe Premier.

REDZMAN,
I would suggest visiting this little site. My friend told me about it, and it should answer all your questions. It's a very detailed and ingenious site.
