QUOTE (Nex @ Mar 10 2007, 04:40 AM)
Yo guys, im not too good at these intro stuff but here's a bit abt me. I live over at Miramar in FL. I havent seen many RD's in the area, those GK's are all over tho.

I actually dont have one just yet. I should be gettin mine sometime next week hopefully. The bad thing is that its kinda beat up so its gonna take time and money to get it into a better condition. as soon as i get it i'll post up pics and all.

She has 116Ks or so, left taillight busted and wing. Minor paint scratches on the right side. mechanical wise, its in really good condition. Which surprised me considering the cosmetic part of it. Anyways, asking price is 1G so its actually not a bad deal.

That was my intro.... Well, i have the money to pay the guy right. I was gonna buy it tomorrow but two days ago turns out that he crashed it. im like AHHHH I had a feeling that was gonna happen. Anyways i fell in love with RD's already so i started lookin around for more. I found A black RD1 97 1.8 for abt 2G's that im gonna check out tomorrow. Cosmetically looks intact, but for some reason the mileage was not stated. I hope its not over 150k.

I also found another RD2, but this one is goin for 5G's. But at 66k is a hell of a deal, then again i have to see the status of the car itself, but its a hyundai dealership so who knows. This one is of course the better buy, but money doesnt allow for it right now.

ooof tough luck man, i'd try the rd1 on for size even though rd2's have a little better quality. good luck!! great that you still want a tiburon. it's great to know what you want. some people don't and they get ripped by other people.

I am still biased towards the prettier RD1s..

just beware that the 97s and early 98s are a little funky. You will have a hard time fitting a Cold Air Intake and just replacing the front brake rotors can be an adventure. The best of the Rd1s is the 99

I'll sell you my RD2 complete with everything on it (including 2 15" Diamond Audio setup and MB Quart components) for $9,800.

I'll even drive it down there to you. It has a brand new auto to manual swap fing02.gif
Hell, I'll even get a fresh coat of paint on it for you for and fix MINOR body blemishes for an extra $600.

It's a Car of the Month winner from last year wink1.gif

But Majik... Your car is soooooooooo beautiful... Man I envy that RD2... Anywho, back OT, I dunno about a 1.8. I have a 98 rd1 2.0l that I love, I'd say save a bit more and go for the RD2 at the dealer. You can beat them down a little anyways. And if you are trading a car in, don't tell them til you hit the lowest price you can get. Good luck!
