well i've been pretty ghost for awhile, so i figured i would post and see whats going on with you guys around here. well the biggest reason i havent been posting much is becasue my tib was broken fort he last month or so. i was chagning the clutch disk out and the TOb got bent somehow in the install. so when i got it back together i couldnt shift gears. so i just stoped working on it because i was pissed about the situation. (didnt know the TOB was bent yet)

so few weeks go by and in the mean time i was driving my accord around to get to work and back, but that accord is just so boring and plain, and it dosent have a driver window because it shattered on ME one day as i was rolling it down and i had to pick glass out my arm..........not fun


so a week or so went by and i was looking on craigslist and i found a pretty nice bike for cheap. so i picked it up, a 95 Kawasaki ZX1100 GPZ


and after that i stoped even trying to fix my car for a few weeks. but while all this was going on i had allready planned to move into my own spot (leaving the rents for the first time) so then while the tib was broken i just moved and kinda stoped messing with the tib at all because it just stresses me out working on it.

But finally after i was all moved in and settled i started getting b****ed at for leaving the car on jackstands in the mom's garage so i ended up paying my boy to come over and see whats up ( hes a USMC non active mechanic) so i figrued if anyone could figure it out it was him. and low and behold with in 3 hours he droped the tranny, figured out the TOB was bent, fixed it and put the tranny back on and mounted it back up. so when i got off work that day i went home and got the TIB running ont he road.

well now with 3 vehicles i cant park them all at my apt. so i leave the tib at my moms and i drive the accord and the bike.......

move into this last week............

its my day off and i figure i'ma go get some more stuff from my moms and i pull out the apt. and i notice my car is smoking alot (i had just added some "smoke b gone w/ stop leak" because my car leaks oil.) literally 2 feet out my apts and before i'm at the next stop sign i got a $200 ticket for smoking car/seat belt.

well now i stoped driving the accord and i just payed the ticket which was really just a being black in a nice neighborhood ticket and thankfully i knew the girl at the county clerk from partying around town and she some how had me only paying $150 and she took my insurance card that for my tib because i only keep insurance on that. so i got shown at least a little love.


now i'm just waiting for another day off this week so i can chance the oil in the accord and hopefully that will stop the smoking.



so where does this leave the tib and modings it????

well because the bike really is just so much faster then the tib i'm not going to do any more performance stuff to the tib. my next real plan with the tib is
1. finish my 5-lug swap
2. get gold wheels
3. finish tuckin the bay because i bought a new radiator before all this shit happened.

but pretty much when i can get all these things accomplished i'm done messing with the tib all together. the inside is nice and fun to ride in with th stereo, the outside is pretty much how i want it other then rims i just wanted the OEM body no crazy kits. and as far as how fast it is......well lets just say that i can get 100MPH in 2nd gear on the bike and its a 6 speed.. so i dont think spending the money in the tib will be the best investment for me.

but i figured i would keep you guys up to date on what new with me and how i'm doin

PS IF ANYONE HAS A RD REAR SPINDLE/KNUCKLE THEY WOULD SELL ME LET ME KNOW ASAP I CAN HELP MAKE 5-LUG A REALITY FOR US RD GUYS IF I CAN GET MY HANDS ON ONE.

sorry about the car. i respect you at least tried it yourself and you have a good friend who can help you out. happy to hear about the bike! i know it's hard to get by, just keep going though. modding my car was the dumbest thing i have ever done, but i don't regret any part of it despite what anybody says it makes me feel happy, especially when it comes to school and you have to put up to a bad day. get in the tiburon and all that sort of washes away.

that ticket was bull****, however you should have gotten warned and nothing more. as far as pulled over for color, there are lots of worse cases but on both sides. it happens, but so do other things like cops getting killed in the wrong part of d.c. that hardly makes the paper.

 

HKC i think its just the world we live in. but you cant let that sort of thing stop you from living life. there will allways be wrong doing from all kinds of people.

But yea definatly when i get in the tib all of the stresses and worrys about it go away and its just nice to drive it. just sucks that even after all this time i still owe 3.5k on it. which is another reason i dont want to put any more money into it. BUT i dont want to give up on it, i still have things i want to accomplish with my tib project. its kinda RICEY to just stop on a project and move to something new.

one lesson i'm definatly taking with me is that i'm not going to mod the bike at all. i'll just wait and save then buy a nicer newer bike instead of trying to mod mine. which is actually allready a lie cause i'm allready planing on choping the rear fender and trying to get a intergrated brake/turn light for it. so i guess the moding bug just wont leave me be cool.gif
