Snowed In!
I wish we would get snow like that...Weve been getting alot down here in Ky to. But its not all at once its about 2in. then it melts, then another 2 then it melts so on and so on...If we got it all at once wed prolly have 12-14in. I wish we had 2 feet like you guys I love the snow it makes for good E-Brake workout.
haha. i love Ebrake slides!!
for actual (no drifts) snow totals, i think my city is at like 14". this has been a VERY tame winter for us. the only thing is, when it snows it snows alot. we've had 3 storms give us at least 10" or more, and thats just about it.

I'm one of those guys who absolutely LOVES the snow. and i'm not talking about those simple "dustings". the snow has to stick for me to like it, and it has to be more likely significant.
my favorite rally in the whole world is the rally of Monaco, Monte Carlo. Monte Carlo rallies are absolutely nothing without snow. I mean, you've got furocious 300hp manufacturer sponsored and trained teams out there in the mountains competing against all odds, time, snow, ice, gravity... it's the best when they're up against the worst. it looks insane when they're battling 80 mph in the snow spouting fire sliding around and heating disc brakes...
but that is not why i like the snow. i like it because i remember it as a child in poland. where none of the roads ever get ploughed because of the country scapes... we used to sled in it when we were about 4 years old. it's truly beautiful. i love driving in it, and i love how it just disrupts everything here in the city; people just stay at home, and it's just peace and QUIET like everything should be.
we got about 8'' here in D.C. although they got 21' in Columbia about 30 mins from here.

at least we got something out of this winter. i was afraid we'd get nothing!

Wow...thats crazy how much you guys got. I'm in upstate NY, and we got nothing at all. In fact, the sun is shining now, and the roads are nice and clear. No snow what so ever last night. smile.gif
My car spent the night in the middle of the parking garage for the Borgata Casino Hotel and Spa. I was working the INXS concert last night and was there from 6pm till 6am this morning. (mo Money! time and a half is 46.25 an hour and that is four hours of OT) and my car just had a light covering of snow over a hard layer of ice.
I did however pop the side of my front bumper on the way home. The plows crossed the main street and left a foot and a half high wall of hard snow on the road. Thankfully all I need to do is rescrew it down again.

I talked to my dad back in NJ and he told me it took him about two and a half hours to shovel the snow off our driveway. Crazy.
He also told me that my tib was buried in the snow so badly, you cant even tell that its under there. Thats funny but my poor tibby 02.gif
