Snap On or MAC
my old craftsman tool box lasted me 10 years until it fell off the truck when i was moving
its probably 1/4 of the cost of a snap on tool box but didnt come in the pretty colors
unless your a professional mechanic who plans on expanding and possibly trading it in in 5 years after your hella successful OR you have a quarter million dollars worth of tools its not worth it
buying a box thats worth 10x more than the tools you have in it is pointless

Take a look at the picture on the front of the Snap On catalog:

^ laugh.gif That pic is awesome! Wonder if its real though.
Anyway, I have 2 craftsmen tool boxes also, and they were WAY cheaper than snap on. If you're just a regular home mechanic and dont plan on opening a shop or a garage....the craftsmen are the way to go and you'll save alot of money.

It is. My friend was there when they took the pic.
I have a Matco and a Craftsman and I like my Matco 100000x more than the Craftsman - much more solid, however Craftsman now has their "Professional" line out. Much better, but still not up to par with Mac, Matco, Snap On, etc.
Only complaint with my Matco box is the divider in the top drawer doesn't allow me to fit my extended-length socket rails front to back.

kobalt tools are made by snap on
they are the EXACT same thing just different name

Incorrect. Years ago, Snap-on bought Williams and then re-tooled the Williams plants to make Kobalt tools. Kobalt tools are not Snap-On tools with "Kobalt" stamped on them.
