SLC Tiburon
Just returned from a three day trip to Salt Lake and I have a few remarks.
#1. People in Utah drive way too fast.
#2. If you live in SLC and own a green rd2, I like your tail lights, very cool.
#3. I saw my first rd1. The rd2's look much better, in my opinion.
Anyways, I had a great time and no car troubles despite being driven almost non-stop for 72 hours and over 1800 miles. laugh.gif:

Um got to Las Vegas, Florida, DC, Del, New Jersery, Ohio, Alabama, and Georgia. Oh yeah can't forget about Mississippi, Lousiana, and Texas. Untill you've gone over 100 with bumper to bumper traffic you haven't lived. Untill you drive through downtown Houston at 110 speed limit is 55 you haven't gone to fast. Keep in mind i did that in the Tiburon. I have to say at 110 the car handles real well going through the downtown turns there. But dude speed it up some.
I can't believe it took you 72 hours to drive 1800 miles! I went to San Antonio and back is 21 hours and that is 2000 miles. And driveing through Houston on super bowl sunday.
Dude i just did the math for 72 hours and 1800 miles. That is going 25 miles per hour. Dude what were you doing pushing the Tiburon down the road?
Maybe that is why he thinks people in SLC drive too fast? And yes, driving into NYC in bumper to bumper traffic while doing 70mph or above is a sweaty palms on the steering wheel experience.. ESPECIALLY in a tib because you can rarely see around the cars ahead of you.

Or maybe he just didn't want to break the law.
I said "almost" 72 hours straight. 9 hour drive the way there, lots of cruising around the town, and 9 hours drive the way back, in all more like 35 hours spread through out the 3 days behind the wheel. Total of about 1800 miles, +/- 100 miles. And you've got to realize that I live in a town of only 30,000 people in WYOMING. All we have is wide open roads and very slow speed limits in towns. In Salt Lake the speed limit is 40 almost everywhere and nobody drives slower than 50. Heck of a culture shock for a redneck from the sticks. But I did alright, didn't take me long to figure out the general area and slowly adjust to driving 15 mph faster than usual.
Anyways, as for the trip, it was great fun. Got to hangout with a friend from high school and meet a lot of groovy new people. Even enjoyed the best meal I've ever had at Olive Garden.
I only got to take two pictures because I forgot that even brought the camera with me. One turned out to be my finger in way and other was of an interesting hillside in Casper, WY.

Salt Lake City turned out to be a great place, I'm even thinking of moving there when I get kicked out of my current "freeloader" position.
