Nissan launches the redesigned Skyline
Nissan announces details of the redesigned Skyline in Japan. According to Reuters, Nissan Motor Co, Ltd has launched the redesigned Skyline sports sedan, for the Japanese market. It will also make its debut in the US, in 2002.
The Skyline will be marketed in the US under the luxury Infiniti brand, in which it would also mark the car's first ever overseas sales since it was originally launched in 1957.
The starting price in Japan would be USD $21,570, with an estimated sales target of 2,000 units. No sales target has been confirmed for the US as yet.
Nissan's only previous exports of the Skyline were a total of 187 of the two-door GTR versions, which were sold to the UK in 1997 and 1999.

*dddrrooooll* mmm..the Skyline is my favorite car. They were supposed to bring it here a couple of years ago though so I'm not holding my breath this time. Also, $22,000? It'll probably be like a G20 and weak as hell.
