My friend just got back from the Army bootcamp and he is in town till november when he leaves for Germany and we are going to go skydiving in about a month and I was just wondering if anyone has gone and what it was like and what i can expect lol.

Ive bungee jumped, its about the same because both of them you freefall which is an amazing feeling, I liked the going up better

I want to go really bad cause I can imagine the enjoyment on the way down. But I'm not gonna lie, I'll be scared as crap to make that first jump.

How much does something like that cost?

I have no idea, IM GUESSING mayb 200-300...if there is anyone in the OHIO (cincinnati area) who would like to join I bet my friend wont mind if you come...as long as you bring your tib lol

your first time you have two choices. you can go tandem with an instructor for like 110. it is possible for you to go skydiving your first time attached to nobody(except for little wrist straps and instructors on either side) but you have to be in a class all day and it ends up costing like 800 dolllars. it does take care of the first step of being able to become a profesional skydiver though.

i really want to go, but havent been yet.

Skydiving is really cool, especially if you have a fear of heights. The first 10 seconds or so (for me at least) were scary as fvck, as you accellerate to terminal velocity. After that, you're just there, chillin, it doesnt feel like falling anymore, and the view alone is worth the 200 or so for going tandem your first time Remember those dreams where youre falling, and you see your shadow coming closer to you then wake up? If its on a cloudy day you can see the same thing a coupla times while youre freefalling. I think everyone should go at least once, its not as scary as you'd think it would be, and definately worth it.

I haven't been sky diving, but I have been to a place here in Dallas that has something called Nothing but Net. Basically they hoist you up about 10-11 stories, and then drop you without a parachute or bungee cord and you land on a net below. The freefall is amazing, I bet skydiving would be a blast!
