What's going on Chris! Good to see you checking in. Too forever but I finally graduated from UMCP lol!! I'll still come to the car meets every now and again.
My advice is very easy, although not as simple for you. I bought an Elantra Touring last June-August (the dealer had the original in the shop for almost three months lol). It feels GREAT not having to worry about things breaking down and all that good stuff. It literally helps your overall health by reducing your stress levels...etc.
I never wanted to sell the Elantra Wagon. It had 185,000 on it and running fantastic. In fact, I had changed everything on it, including tires, battery, pads, alternator, and anything else you can think of. I practically gave it away but to a friend.
But I still LOVE my Tiburon despite this. If you get rid of yours, you'll regret it in some way. They don't make cars like that anymore. 2500lb with a Beta. It's basically a small car with a big engine. Not to mention one as great looking. My Tiburon (auto-manual) had an expensive transmission flush done by a good mechanic. Runs better than ever, even with the irritating rattles lol. Nothing has gone wrong for 4 years of whipping it around. I have so much fun with it all the time and I can't imagine what it would feel like to miss those lines.
From my experience, once you invest in it, it'll pay off but it depends on how you feel about the car. For me for example, I don't like new cars. They're all too heavy and improperly designed. I loved the 90's and the Tiburon is my pride and joy. Yes it's a little embarrassing at times because I dont fit in with just about anything on the road but that's what makes it worth having.

So game plan right now is that I'm going to fix it and leave it at the parents' house for them to use for little errands and stuff. I just wouldn't get enough for it even when fixed up I don't think and it will be good to have a second car once I finally get my sh*t together and buy a house of my own.
Going to see about moving the component Polks into the forte then maybe my eD subs with a custom fiberglass enclosure. Need more volume... only real problem I have with it.
I am going to sell some of the spare parts and swap out aftermarket for stock and unload those as well. So keep an eye out in the for sale.

Sounds perfect to me. I should have kept the Wagon for my folks to use and store in the garage in Florida so I could just send them on an airplane whenever they need. Registering there would mean cheap insurance too... Now I have a problem because I need to buy another Elantra Wagon.
If you don't want to keep it or sell it, just remove the tags, close the insurance (online with a click of a button), put a dropcloth or tarp over it (using wooden boards underneath) and store it in the yard until you figure things out. Wish I did that with the Wagon because I got plenty of room. Damn I miss that car so much.
