Ok every one has seen the old ww1 and 2 style planes with the shark teeth paint job. I guess thats where it started around wwI but what if someone incorporated it on a tib. I think it would look cool.

sweet idea!! it would have to be done VERY carefully. maybe just on each side and not the front IDK. it would probably only work with the studie front IMO.

just can put any teach in the grill or any crap like that. very good for the show car look.

first off its not a shark mouth on the plane but a P-40 warhawk that belonged to the flying tigers squadron of WWII.

they never flew in korea during their whole existence so why put it on a korean car? their closest runs in that area were in china.

i've seen that "theme" done on several cars and it never looks right cause of the wide frontend of a car. it really looks good on the front of a cafe racer style motorcycle though.

doing that on a tib just doesn't make sense . kinda like painting your tib like the general lee or doing thousands of dollars in airbrush painting samurai warriors on your tib when samurai are japanese, see what i am getting at?

In the end, when you consider a theme style car IMO a little research needs to be done so history/military buffs that are carnuts won't laugh you into the next county.

I would think that the fact that "tiburon" means "shark" is enough justification to paint your car like a shark, regardless of whether shark-painted ww1/2 airplanes ever flew in korea or whatever.

Still, I think it would probably look crappy as well..

Being that we all drive tiburons, we all drive sharks. Any military/history/car buff automatcally looses that battle when he finds out that Tiburon = shark.

I think if it were possible to do, and do well, it would be appropriate for the car. I hate airbrush work when it's a picture of something that does not take up the majority of the car. I can't stand when someone paints a dragon on a quarter panel or on the hood.

On the contrasting side, I saw a gigantic machine gun on the side of a tTiburon at the NOPI Nationals which I liked. I've also seen a fullbody vinyl on a Tiburon which I also liked.

It comes down to taste. If you were going to do this, make sure it's a design that you plan carefully to accentuate the curves of the car and make sure it will look good in 3D, not just a side view... Full body sharkey.

I think if it can be pulled off on these bad boys it can be pulled off on a Tib. fing02.gif
