Have you tried hitting the ESC button there Redz? If you've got the intro going when you start the game, you have to ESC out of that to get to the main menu. Also, the last tab on the Setup has a couple troubleshooting options. Try "Video Compatibility" and see if that works. Also, what graphics card are you running? Some of them are glitchy with Soldat. If that doesn't do it and you really want to get it running, my contact info is in my profile. Hit me up and I'll help you out.
And I've never played Runescape, but I have heard many people tell me that they thought UO was much better. Just remember, it's an old school 2D MMO, but still hella fun.

I've got it fixed now, I turned off the intro, updated all my drivers, and it works good.
I'll have to look up the other games.
