I got my latest Game Informer magazine and they have a listing of the top 10 shareware games in it. I'm trying their FIRST one on the list today. Looks fantastic.

Sorta like worms, or lemmings, but with GUNS. LOL

#2 on the list was Facade.

I'll tell you from experience, Soldat really is awesome. I lost about a year of my life in that game (not something to be proud of, lol) and it really is a great game considering what it is. It's a blast of fresh air to see a 2D shoot 'em up that's not all crazy and complex like Halo or whatever. Only problem is, the current version has a few bugs that make it so quite a few shots don't register in game. However, you can play around this, and it's still addicting as hell.

Start Menu ---> Programs ---> Soldat --->Setup.exe. There's an option for it in there. Also, you can turn off the opening screen with that. It doesn't seem to work right unless you've registered it.

May I also recommend Pocket Tanks and Super DXBall from Blitwise.com. The programmer lives in my town, and is a really cool guy. He releases expansion packs for Pocket Tanks a few times a year. It's very addicting! drillsergeant.gif

For anyone that ever played Ultima Online, there are a couple good free shards out there. Check out www.uogamers.com. Great MMORPG, and it has a great staff.

Solidat worked great for me. I couldn't change the color of the flames though. You should go through the setup..

Many of the in game options, such as changing flame colors, come with registering it for like $9 or something. However, you can still play the game fully without registering it.

I may register it. I've been through the setup, how else would I turn off Fullscreen? LOL It just looks so SMALL, my only complaint, since I can't get it to fullscreen.

Better than Runescape?

I did. Don't know what to set everything to, but the fullscreen would come UP, but I couldn't click on anything. Just updated my Direct X and my video drivers, no dice.
