we didn't have the lightning like you did strike, but we had the rain, 7.5 inches in 1.5 hours,lol.
these are pics from my apartment yesterday afternoon. the aprtment complex behind mine is less than a year old and the owner was completely freaking out thinking he was going to have major water damage.

It took me 35 pics to get one of the lighting.. It's hard, shutter delay means you keep missing it hehe so you have to anticipate it smile.gif

I'm working on my photoshop skillz. I'm glad you liked it.
I worked on it a bit more this morning.. I think it looks a bit more realistic.. Maybe it needs more detail.

I thought my lightning days were over when I left Tampa, FL. But this is what I was greeted with my first "monsoon season" here in Prescott, AZ.
more lightning strikes/minute than I have ever seen before. These were not taken by me, they were taken atop the roof of our campus' tallest building with one of their meteo-cams.
This one was taken by me (and if you've ever seen one of these, ..most likely in the mid-west.. you know how intimidating they can be).
