ok guys. i found a buyer for my car and just wondering about all the processes that go along with it. im a total newb on this. never done it before. who has to provide bill of sale? me or buyer? i know i dont give him my plates or registration. and as soon as he has the car i cancel the insurance on it. anything im forgetting?

laws are diferent from state to state.

Here in Cali you sign off the pink slip, draw up a reciept and send in the release of liability slip that comes on the pink.

the pink says the cars theres. the reciept is for legal reasons. release of liability is so that you cant get sued if he/she gets into an accident b4 they get a new title.

you need to call your dmv and ask. sometimes if you don't do something within a time frame you will get fee's.

Here is Mass you need a bill of sale and the title to the vehicle. But your state may be different.

thanks spart. ya i was there. just wanted to know if anyone knows any other "street" tips that isnt mentioned by the state lol.
