If my car 2000 Tiburon has 62000 miles on it and just had a new shortblock put in it..... now how many miles does it have???

lil story behind the question.... after gettin my car back from Pepboys (new cluth installed) my car was making some god awful noises. I had it towed to a Hyundai dealership in Sacramento... for free smile.gif

Got ahold of um a week later and said that a had a pretty big crack in my exhaust manifold and they heard some pretty bad knocking from piston 3 i beleive. found a connecting rod bearing on #3 worn and thrust bearing washer in my oil pan. anywho to make a long story short... month later i get my car back with a new shortblock, fixed exhuast manifold, and they said that i had a bad wheel bearing which they fixed as well. best part, all FREE!!! no questions asked. So Maita Hyundai/Subaru is tops in my book.

anywho the reason im asking the question is i want to sell my car. blue book is bout 8.5k i was ganna take 9 firm cause i got the new clutch and bout 3.5-4k in sound system, alarm, konig flatline rims and a few other goodies that i thought justified an xtra 600 over blue book. BUT now with the new short block and stuff.... how much more would you charge??? Thanks crew.

ps and dont worry..... im buyin another hyundai with the money i get. 97 gt wink

Your selling it not trading in, right? (looks that way from your post). I would either stand firm on the wholesale price or split the difference between wholesale and retail. The replaced engine, stereo, upgrades wheels, etc. makes it a more attractive buy, but doesn't really increase it's value. (which totally sucks)

selling.... prob wouldnt get jack $hit if i traded it in. and the only reason i would do that is to get a 2k3... but the whole reason im sellin it is so i wont have a car payment anymore. and as much as i would like a new tibby, it would be a step in the wrong direction. and i already have a beta sittin at home that will hopefully eventually make its way into the accent i pick up.
