Yep. A lot of phones out there can be hooked to a PC via a very cheap USB cable. You can use software like BVRP Mobile Phone tools to connect to the cell phone and transfer ring tones to it that you've downloaded. Search BearShare for ring tones and midi files.

I just wanted to let you all know that I just heard on the radio that there are about 5 cell phone 'viruses' going around. They get into your phone when you download infected ringtones and there is currently no software to fight them.

I can't remember the name of the most popular one, but it turns everything on your phone to a scull and cross bones and will not allow your phone to make or receive calls or text messages.
