Does anyone else have a problem with the obnoxious ringing the tiburon makes when the key is left in...i really want to figure how to turn that thing off, it just annoys me...

 

locate the buzzer, and disconnect the ground wire(prolly black) from it.

 

get some duct tape, and tape the little button down so your car just thinks the door is shut

 

true... but then when you open your door at night the light inside wont come on... (tried this little mod once... i like the interior light so i took the tape off) your best bet is to look for the buzzer and disconnect it like tibby01 said... this will get rid of the buzzer and you will still have your interior light

 

after you use duct tape what about the dome light ?? HMMMMmmmm

 

The buzzer isn't hard to find under the dash.

 

in my 01 tibby it was a little bell device located behind the dash and to the right of the ignition, sort of between the wheel and the ac controls. take your dash off, put the key in and look for a flashing light (that's the bell ringing and shaking) then there is a wiring harness on the backside of it

and i'll probably look for the wiring to the buzzer also. it gets annoying when you're just chillin in a parking lot or somethin and you want your doors open and radio on but the ringin won't shut up

 

thanks guys...yeah i've tried the duct tape thing for a few...i always have my interior light turn on when i open my door so i didn't like that..

 

It's up in the dash, on the side the AC controls are on, right about where your right knee is when driving. With the dash on it's impossible to detect where it is.....just feel around..... once your hand is on it there's no doubt that you've got it. You can feel it every time it rings. There's a wire harness buried in that foam coating. Peel it off and disconnect it.
