hehe, I thought it was going to be an old f1 vid i had seen but in the words of little nicky "that was flippin AWESOME!!"

the coolest part was where they had the cut away of the intake mani (I'm guessing it's a cut away, i suppose it could be made like that with a filter sitting on top...) and you could see the injectors working.

wow that was crazy!! I also liked the injectors a lot, the glowing mani and flames were cool tho too! fing02.gif haha

That engine is 3 years old (in racing years). It was done in 2004 (notice the copyright?)

They normally have an airbox "lid" that goes on top of that manifold, and then the air intake ram connects to that. (all carbon fibre of course)

No, they don't use air filters. The engines are designed to be torn down after every run, like most 100% race engines, so they don't need no stinkin' air feeelters.

Notice the very large very FINE spray pattern on the injectors. No problems with fuel atomization there!

BTW, It's a "claimed" 800 HP and CLAIMED 3.36 MPG in race use.
Their "real" figures are more than likely much higher in HP and lower in fuel consumption. They post the false claims to mess with the other teams R&D efforts.
