That's it folks, the Redskins are about to loose at home to the Packers..Since the 36' election, every time the Redskins loose a home game before an election, the incumbant President LOSES. Along with the REDSOX coincidence that I had mentioned eariler, it looks like Bush will loose the election (remember this is all in fun).

See, you all will just get a new president if Bush loses. Us military folks will get a new boss that we must give the proper respect and courtesy at all times. It send a chill down my back thinking of what it would be like if Kerry is elected.

I was reading about that voting system they do for elementry school (anyone remember the name) it has a similiar record to proving the president and bush won by 60 to 40 %. seems to me that would be a little more accurate since the kids are just going to vote for who their parents are going to. laugh.gif

edit:
here is the breakdown of the games for the last 70 years.

October 30, 2000: Redskins lose to the Titans 27-21 in a frustrating MNF matchup - Al Gore would lose the most frustrating election in history

October 27, 1996: Redskins beat the Colts 31-16, almost as easily as Clinton would cruise to re-election

November 1, 1992: Redskins lose to the Giants 24-7, a crushing defeat after starting 6-2. President Bush once held a 91 percent approval rating, but crashed to a loss the next week.

November 6, 1988: Skins beat the Saints 27-24, Bush wins two days later

November 5, 1984: Skins beat the Falcons 27-14 on MNF, Reagan wins reelection the next day.

November 2, 1980: Skins lose to the Vikings 39-14, Carter loses.

October 31, 1976: Skins lose to the Cowboys 20-7, Ford loses.

October 22, 1972: Skins beat the Cowboys 24-20, Nixon wins.

October 27, 1968: Skins lose to the Giants 13-10, Humphrey loses.

October 25, 1964: Skins beat the Bears 27-20, Johnson wins.

October 30, 1960: Skins lose to the Browns 31-10, Nixon loses.

October 21, 1956: Skins beat the Browns 20-9, Eisenhower wins.

November 2, 1952: Skins lose to the Steelers 24-23, Stevenson loses.

October 31, 1948: Skins beat the Yanks 59-21, Truman wins.

November 5, 1944: Skins beat the Rams 14-10, Roosevelt wins.

November 3, 1940: Skins beat the Steelers 37-10, Roosevelt wins.

November 1, 1936: Skins beat the Cardinals 13-10, Roosevelt wins.

DAMN supercow..you deserve a 110% award for that one!!

Unfortunately, as far as the kids poll... Nickelodeon had a Kid's vote as well and Kerry defeated Bush 57% to 43%.

the magazine in question is Scholastic.
QUOTE
Since 1940, Scholastic Classroom Magazines have given students the opportunity to cast their vote for president in the Scholastic Election Poll (online voting was added in 2000). In every election, but two, the outcome of the Scholastic Election Poll mirrored the outcome of the general election. The exceptions were in 1948 when students chose Thomas E. Dewey over Harry S. Truman and in 1960 when more students voted for Richard M. Nixon than John F. Kennedy. In 2000, student voters chose George W. Bush, mirroring the Electoral College result but not the result of the popular vote.

I was just reading the National Post and on the front page there is a similar article to this thread.

THE HEMLINE FACTOR - How to predict the winner in Tuesday's vote

HEMLINES
Support for the Democrats is stronger when skirts are short. Republicans are more likely to win when skirts are long.

THE DOW
If the Dow has fallen or posted onlt a modest gain since the previous election, the incumbent president will have trouble winning.

COOKIES
The husband of the winner of Family Circle's potential-first-lady cookie contest has gone on to win the election every year since 1992

MONIKERS
In the last 100 years, the candidate with the longer surname has won two-thirds of the time.

HALLOWEEN
Whichever candidate's likeness sells the most Halloween masks before the election has won the presidency in every race during the past two decades.

BEAUJOLAIS
If the grapes (In relation to wines) are good in election year, the Democrat wins.

This is kinda cool, judge by this and you could get pretty close I'm sure.
