Since you bring absolutely no context to your rant, hence the inability for most to reply with anything of substance, I'll try to help this thread develop.

  • If they = American culture, what culture are you?
  • In what ways are you controlled as a person, by American culture?
  • How, in the last 3 months, have you been oppressed and unable to express your desired "freedoms" as you wish?

I agree. We should never have been involved in assisting with the Rwanda genocide, never have attempted to aide Kosovo, let Russia take over Georgia with force after completely knocking out their ability to communicate and broadcast, and we should have turned a blind eye even longer for the torture, killings, and gas chambers in the middle east. How dare we. We should mind our own business, as we did in WWII, until we get the sh*t beat out of us.

Iran with nuclear weapons? Let them play with their toys!! It isn't hurting us.... yet.

Batman won't reply because he's just another suburb kid who's parents are too busy working too notice his over-privileged whiney ass. So he gets on a forum on the computer they bought him for college, that of course they are paying for with their "hypocritical American money" so he can complain about the injustices of America. Typical college kid, think after a couple years of "higher" knowledge that they suddenly know everything that is wrong with the world, but have no real solution other than to smoke pot, drop E, and complain about society while do keg stands, all on mom and dad's money.

Is the U.S. perfect? Hell no... but not a whole lot of countries in this world where you can get on your self-righteous high horse and spout off how the country you live and work in sucks without getting shot in the streets.

There's a simple solution. It does not involve occupying anything. Unoccupy Walmart. Unoccupy MC Donald's. Unoccupy Exxon. Unoccupy the corperations you are fighting and start your own.

You can't fight capitolisim. Its not going to work. If you want to fight it, you have to find a better product to sell.

I've been looking for an excuse to upload that picture for ages. But seriously, wild stereotyping won't solve anything. This is just a typical class war, both sides have valid and invalid points, and it is hard to argue for any side that isn't your own.

IMO it is important not to ignore what is going on around you, but don't waste all your time debating and complaining because it is generally ineffective.
